About

I’m an ethnomusicologist who specializes in the history and practices of music recording. I teach academic and professional writing techniques and  well as courses on popular music history. I’m a lifelong baseball fan, too—I cheer for the Mets, but I mostly just like to watch any game, any time, and think about how the game really works. I’m not particularly mathematically inclined, but I’m very much interested in sabermetrics and stats-oriented analyses because of the logic and reasoned stances that they promote. Please visit my homepage to learn more about my courses or my research, and enjoy my reflections and thoughts on this blog!
